The
Rochester Valley
Ancient,
Free & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry
Dear
Brother Master Mason,
When you were initiated into
Freemasonry, you professed a desire to become “wiser, better and
consequently happier.” We endeavor to aid in that effort at our Scottish
Rite Temple in Rochester. We encourage you to become an active member of
your Blue Lodge. The first three degrees are the heart of Masonry and
viable Blue Lodges are the future of our beloved fraternity.
The Scottish Rite is the “University of Freemasonry,” and through our
Degree conferrals we teach many valuable lessons, which have been passed
down to us through the ages. These lessons give our members the valuable
tools to become better informed and to be more conscious of what is
really important in life. As these valuable lessons are portrayed, the
past merges with the present and the great truths that are learned may
be used now and in the future.
The Rochester Valley offers
an extended degree conferral period, which begins in the fall and ends
in the spring. During this time, all of the Degrees of the Scottish Rite
are conferred or communicated. These degrees are followed by facilitated
study, wherein the leaders discuss present information and materials and
answer questions that naturally emerge out of the experience.
Your next important step towards membership in the Rochester Valley is
to complete and submit the petition that is posted on this page. If you
have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Valley
Secretary at
angkor4@hotmail.com or 507-216-5698. We look forward to hearing from
you!
Sincerely,
Ethan Seaberg, 32°
